The Queen 04:27
Funny how the road that’s traveled just might be the one Take you where there is less hassle - enjoy the setting sun At the Mighty Mac still north - an inland sea to see Flora, fauna - a chance encounter, at least a million trees Traveling northward Anxious, tired Flowing forward Full and wired At the end of highway 41 there is a town Mountain biking, socializing circle round and round Buena Vista have a good night - lost is lost, or found Tomorrow it’s across the big lake, adventures wait - unbound
2.
On the first arrival You seize all your dreams Focused, not final Is it what it seems? There, for what I see Warnings to be heeded Avoidance - believed Moose are the north truth One wrong move - you’re proof Better not be fooled Can't believe I'm really here It's something from a dream Majestic views and Flowing mountain streams Isle Royale - thank you (For natural lasting peace) Wonder - excitement Sunset calm reveals Splash! - then they are swimming Crossing a bay Wild! - on their way

End of the hike can’t wait to rest my feet Views of the lake so great - a camper’s fate How I love this wilderness feeling The night so bright with stars Rainfall cleanses and quenches and feeds the ground Waiting out the rain in the tent - pass the whiskey around The evening sun casting shadows Better build a fire for tonight Covered ground from Lane Cove to Lake Ritchie Sweating all the way The Greenstone Ridge had its way with us that day Moskey Basin session underway Off the trail - a venture around the bay Finally time for an icy lake bath The next day Daisy Farm
5.
Hiking into Rock Harbor at last A red fox steals an egg We met upon the trail and laughed The sly one feeds today The last days are the precious days Let’s hope it never ends This lifetime trip of wilderness ways Remembered with a grin It's almost as if this Royale trip was meant to be Unheeded we went to see what we wanted to see Blue sky stretches overhead Paddle onward with hope Feeling lucky to be this far Thought we knew the scope Explore the islands seen offshore Rocky outcrops too It seems we are the only ones Alone with this view

Reflection 03:43
I feel life, I’ve lived a time, upon the Earth Existence for it’s worth Feeling fine - all the time Reflect on the things that we did That island of life made us “Live” Sun casting rays as we hiked out the days Blue sky, cool breeze, and rain Then the moon shone bright in the night As if to say… All is right A long road back, remember days, upon the trail Acceptance without fail Feeling fine - all the time Reflect on the things that we did That island of life made us “Live” Sun casting rays as we hiked out the days Blue sky, cool breeze, and rain Then the moon shone bright in the night As if to say… All is right I’m going back I hope - someday I must go back Wilderness and light, all is right

about

This album was inspired by trips to Isle Royale National Park by both Daryl and Joe at different times. From the opening cut representing the excitement of getting to the island to the last song reflecting on the trip and the other songs from various areas of the wilderness park, each song draws from the life changing experience of getting closer to nature.
